Africa Gorilla Trips was founded by guides who grew up in the villages bordering Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. We started arranging treks for friends of friends; today we run tailor-made gorilla and primate safaris across Uganda and Rwanda for travellers from around the world.
What makes us different
We hold direct working relationships with the Uganda Wildlife Authority and Rwanda Development Board, so your gorilla permit is confirmed before your flights are booked, not after. Every itinerary is built by someone who has personally driven the route, stayed at the lodge and hiked the trail.

We work with community-owned lodges and local guiding associations wherever the trip allows, so your permit fees and travel spend support the same forests and communities you’ve come to see.
